Services: Therapy services are available for children (ages 4–10), adolescents (11–18), and adults (18+). I offer individual, couples, and family therapy in English and/or Tagalog. Sessions are available in person or via telehealth, with flexible session lengths (50–80 minutes) based on clinical needs.

Booking: For clients under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must complete the booking and provide consent prior to the appointment.

Phone Consultations: The therapist will call you at your scheduled appointment time using the phone number provided during booking. Please be aware that the call may appear as an unknown or blocked number.

Insurance: Direct billing with Sun Life, Green Shield, and Blue Cross is coming soon. For all other providers, a receipt will be provided for reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy: Appointments require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee.

Location & Parking: Coping Corner is located inside the One Executive Place building– Suite 732 (7th Floor). Free parking is available in the “Regus” stalls at the front of the building or in the rear alley. The Banff Trail C-Train station is conveniently located nearby for those using public transit. When you enter the building, go to 7th floor. After exiting the elevator, turn left and wait in the reception area. Please let reception know that you are here to see Kathlyn of Coping Corner. The building is locked after 5 PM and on weekends; with these appointments, please kindly wait at the main entrance and I will come to meet you.

A 15 minute complimentary consultation to help you explore your needs, ask questions, and see if therapy is the right fit for you. This call offers a safe, supportive space to discuss what you’re looking for and how therapy may help—no pressure, no commitment.


In-Person Sessions

In-person sessions are available for individual (4-18+), couples, and family therapy. Appointments take place in a private, supportive setting and are tailored to your unique needs, with session lengths adjusted based on clinical goals.


Teleheath Sessions

Online sessions are available for individual, couples, and family therapy for clients located in Nunavut and throughout Alberta. Sessions are conducted via secure telehealth and provide the same confidential, supportive care as in-person appointments.

Kathlyn (she/her) is the founder of Coping Corner. She is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (with Distinction) from Yorkville University.

Kathlyn is passionate about creating a warm, inclusive, and affirming space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. She views therapy as a collaborative and supportive process, meeting individuals where they are while fostering self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful growth. Kathlyn works with clients to better understand how challenges and symptoms impact daily life, helping them build on existing strengths and develop practical coping strategies.

Through Coping Corner, Kathlyn has created a practice grounded in compassion, accessibility, and connection. Inspired by the idea of a “corner” as a place of safety and reflection, her work emphasizes client-centred care that honours each person’s unique experiences, identities, and goals.

Kathlyn works with individuals across the lifespan, supporting children, youth, and adults (ages 3–70). She offers therapy in English and Tagalog (Filipino).
